Yeah, the hidden techniques of Twilight Princess were awesome.
I hope it will return again O:

Egoraptor was complaining too much about cinematics and things that enrichen the experience.

Also, unable to hit keese in 3D Zelda?
You can use slingshot, boomerang, hookshot, bow and arrow, longshot, din's fire or lure them down and use your sword.

Or he showed a moment where he was running in the Ice Cavern and he was hit by a spikey block that was spinning around the room and he couldn't see it because of the camera.
He hates Navi, but he obviously needs her if he can't figure out that you can look through the room with C-up and check for possible dangers.

I can write an entire book in the comment section on how much I disagree with him, but it will be lost between all the other comments anyway.

Yeah..the chest thing really didn't set well with me. Those cutscenes are always so tense waiting to see what you've discovered. I don't like waiting when it's a map or a compass because those things suck, but still.
The only enemy I never really liked "waiting" for was the Lizalfols. They take forever to hop away and send their buddy up to fight.

I honestly enjoy the 3D Zelda games a LOT more than the 2D ones. Probably because I started with OoT, but they feel like the quintessential Zelda experience for me. The 2D ones just don't embody the same sense of adventure, drama and action to me and don't really have a suspension of disbelief for me. When I play 2D Zelda games I'm extremely aware that I'm playing a game and not on an awesome adventure with magic and swords and princesses to save. kind of ideal for when playing a game. xD

I liked the Cave of Ordeals as well, about the only "challenging" fight in Twilight Princess, plus it had some pretty decent rewards for completing it.
While the combat itself could use work. (Namely enemy A.I. which was one of Arin's points is the waiting and how stupid they could be.) I think Twilight Princess had some of the best mechanics. I really liked the "hidden techniques" aspect of it. It basically felt like a polished version of Link's little A button reaction events in Wind Waker which were also pretty satisfying to execute.

Yeah the thrill of opening a big chest SLOWLY is like one of the main highlights of a zelda game. A fresh player about to start its first zelda game would highly expect to have the great music and camera angle changes and to wait for the special item inside that chest!

Like come on...DUN DUN DUN DUNNNNNN. We are all just waiting for it

Ocarina of Time had a lot of enemies that required waiting. That was annoying yeah. But all the other complaints he has. How can I possibly NOT give that video a downvote?

The most ridiculous one:
"It takes ages to open a chest."
I can't believe he made that a point of issue.
I can't believe he went on about it for so long.
I can't believe he showed how many ALttP chests you can open in the timespan of Link opening a chest in OoT to proof his point.

I actually loved the Cave of Ordeals in Twilight Princess, it just gradually got really tough and you have to use your items sufficiently. The ALBW was good but it was too easy for me...and you had unlimited supply...just spam that fire rod xD and Wind Waker's cave thingy..( I forgot the name too xD) was not so bad as well. But yes I totally have to agree with you for Wind Waker's 3D battle gameplay. I always have fun killing dem enemies with buttons instead of motion controls...and dem time attacks with the 'A' mwahahah. yeah a bit of waiting...but that was like...just the darknuts...

And yes I agree with him with ALBW. I can't agree with him yet for ALttP cozz I haven't played it! XD But I do see his point

ALttP is like a harder ALBW. A good kind of "harder." The first Zelda, to me, is kind of a bad "Harder." Where it seems like you're being treated unfairly (12 bombs max and they're so freaking rare and literally anything could be hiding a passage and very few bombing hints), or the fact that you don't swing a sword, just thrust it forward with horrid range and is often unreliable. ALttP fixed those problems (about 50 bombs max. 20 at the start I think), with most bomb-able walls having cracks (which are sometimes surprisingly easy to miss), and the sword actually has a swing and a substantial range. But yes, both games have a faster pace and a very fun battling system (at least if you can get past the first game's sword flaw). Whereas Ocarina of Time and other games have the "waiting battles".

I can really tell the difference between how much I like the battle system by how I like enemy endurance places. Sadly, not all the games have them (OoT included). But you have the cave thing (the name escapes me) on Outset Island in Wind Waker, the Cave of Ordeals in Twilight Princess, and the Treacherous Tower in ALBW. I can tell I like the top down Zeldas' battling system more because the Treacherous Tower is my favorite of the three. Whenever I open up the game for Dark Link fights, I'll replay a level of it. Wind Waker, by far, is the best 3D Zelda battle gameplay. Yes it has some waiting, but the counter slices are so fun to pull off and everything. The Cave of Ordeals is the worst out of the three. Unlike the other two, I get bored of it halfway through.

Yeah I do agree with Egoraptor with Skyward Sword and some aspects of ocarina of time. just waiting...and waiting...

Oh I do love Egoraptor. And he makes really good points (and agree with everything about Skyward Sword. I just beat the first temple and I already feel it's not worth continuing). I don't agree with all of them and some things he says is hypocritical, but I do agree that ALttP is superior in most aspects.
