I don't want to play the new Zelda Wii U and find myself having to pay 10$ to unlock all of the optional heart pieces or something like that. Pretty sure I'd have an aneurysm if that happened.

I'm sure Nintendo won't go that far. Heart containers are so easily made and programmed and a focal point of the game. In fact, i highly doubt Nintendo will include any DLC for Zelda. Of the games Nintendo currently has DLC for, what has been added has either been extra stuff in a mode separate from the story (Mission Mode in Pikmin 3, the FE Awakening subgames, SMB2 coin packs, etc) or new characters, skins, or other additional things. It's unlikely the Hyrule Warriors team was planning to just add the enemy characters as DLC later. I'd like to think it was because of fan reactions and the demand to make them. The game has been out in Japan a while now. It's likely they just modified these characters to be playable. the skins are fun extras. And the Mario Kart 8 DLC has a lot to do with including aspects from non-Mario games, so if people disliked the idea of that, they don't have to buy it.

IDK, personally, I really like how Nintendo is handling DLC as of now. Nintendo is usually fair and knows the fan's demand, and will likely cater to that and not stretch the bounds of DLC to things like sword upgrades and heart pieces. But yes, if they do, I will be very disappointed

This Dark LInk DLC is so expensive though...for aus...it's $20!

and i still haven't bought my other Mario kart 2 packs yet! XD

when and if I get the game (both games in fact), I'll have to really balance out what DLC I'd get. I skipped out on Pikmin 3's DLC (for now) as the DLC, while relatively inexpensive, didn't bring in something SUPER new. It had a few new obstacles, but no new enemies or big gameplay aspects. I'll probably skip the Dark Link skin, but new characters are much more appealing.

My school year just started and I'm already starting to feel a little overwhelmed.

Lucky PAL regions and their getting Hyrule Warriors :< Well I guess it makes sense. NTSC can't get everything first out of the two.

I remember an announcement recently stating the 3 main new baddies (Cia, Volga, and the Wizzrobe/Poe guy) in Hyrule Warriors will be DLC, including a Dark Link skin. I guess this announcement of character DLC revives my hope for characters like Naryu and Din to be playable... but it probably won't happen. Who am I kidding?

I've been having loads of fun with the Smash Demo. Level 9 computers seem easier and harder at the same time... Like they're much better and dodge-countering (Mario especially, he's a beast), but if I get combo opportunities, I can slam the heck outta them.

WOW! HYRULE WARRIORS IS AMAZING AND ADDICTIVE!

It has been cleverly made and I can really enjoy dynasty warrior aspects against the legend of zelda elements with pleasure!

I'm sure Nintendo is working on a patch for that. They also have to patch the Banning of Peach in For Glory mode. Her turnips register as an item, which are banned in For Glory, so it being used forces the game to temporarily ban you for the use of Peach.

Hmm...
I don't really play Smash...

But...
In League of Legends, where there are always OP champions, you have to strategize how to counter that OP champion.

Maybe the same kind of strategy applies to that ult-cancelling character in smash~

I hate when pressing the touch screen with your thumbs to be the overall gameplay. If it was a combination of buttons and touch screen...then that would be fine for me...

Touchscreen with stylist...works for me...with thumbs...not so much

I HOPE button aren't ever replaced by touchscreens.
The few times I've played with them they always seemed unreliable and somewhat unresponsive.
