This is something we are experimenting with and hoping to improve. In tests so far we can improve this, but the cost is some performance issues so we are trying to find the right balance.
If you are drawing simple lines, you can remove the spacing by using the pen instead of the brush tools.

I really like the pen pressure in CD, but not the the brush spacing.
Is there any way to be rid of the spacing? I notice that the "alpha" option changes this, but not to the extent I would like.
