It seems like your operating system has the option selected to not show file extensions on file names...
You can change this setting in windows like this:

the .rmdc is just the filetype. It's usually hidden, you may want to create a separate folder to store them in, rather than just a downloads folder. Creating backups also helps if you have a flash drive or external hard drive.
I did a system restore and load came back and I was able to load my drawings again. The rmdc did not return though I search them by typing rmdc in the box and find them also, they load although rmdc is not visible. Hope this helps other
My drawings no longer have the .rmdc on the end. They can be searched with rmdc but they bring up an error page. Also when I try to open them they bring up a "save" page and my Canvas Browser version no longer has a load on it. I can only save to web site or as a png. What can I do? I just ;lost so many unfinished drawings! Now I lost about 6-8 more, one I finished but my computer was moving so slow had to save it-thus the reason for running the stupid darn program. Help! I have so many hours invested and you know no drawing is ever the same the second try it and who wants to anyway?
