I extracted the files, but when I click on any of the files it says it can't open as I need to select a program to open it with.

If you have installed java on your computer .jar files should open just by double clicking. If it isn't working maybe running http://johann.loefflmann.net/downloads/jarfix.exe would help

And I also wanted to ask something. I was wondering if there is a way to change the canvas size, not zoom in and out, etc., but so I can draw on a bigger or smaller canvas.

You can press new image when there'll be choice for picture size. Very large sizes are not as smooth as on some well known programs but I've tried to optimize it as much as I can.

Sure I will do it, why not big_smile

I found out about this today and this is really COOL O_O. This chibipaint has a lot of helpful tools. Thank you so muuuch! I don't know if anybody else said this but I think it will be cool and really, really, really, helpful if chibipaint had a coloring adjuster  (maybe like the  filter on paint tool sai) . Thanks and have a nice day big_smile!

First of all, Thank you so much Predelnik for making these changes in chibipaint. I've been looking forever for a way to save my drawings without posting it online using chibipaint, and it was hallelujah when I found you. I made this account specifically to say this and to follow your "evolution" of chibipaint. I hope you'll make more fabulous changes, no pressure intended, because chibipaint is literally the only drawing program I use, and sadly, can use. (Because I'm so bad at everything else) Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you! And I also wanted to ask something. I was wondering if there is a way to change the canvas size, not zoom in and out, etc., but so I can draw on a bigger or smaller canvas. I heard the size was defaulted to something like  600 x 800..but I may be wrong, but nonetheless, it would be great if I could draw on a bigger canvas. Thank you again, and I'll be looking forward for future updates. ^-^

I feel really stupid for asking, but how does one download this to one's computer xD I extracted the files, but when I click on any of the files it says it can't open as I need to select a program to open it with. As you can see I'm not very tech savvy. at all xD Any help would be appreciated, this is one of the coolest things ever!
I'm finally downloading this, I can't wait because now I can (hopefully) use java draw for smaller projects.

And possibly also press "Edit Site List" on that tab, press "Add" and enter "http://www.ratemydrawings.com/javadraw/" maybe that would help.

I have totally forgotten I could do that.

Thanks to your tip I can draw with java again smile.

The only thing I need is FAQ on how to allow java tool in browsers on win8 because I'm on the edge of turning off my firewalls and security...

Or better running the software through another software if possible.

I do not really care about advanced tools its more fun the way it is now and it allows me not to think of what kind of brush I should use -that I love.

It's not only win8 problem I guess, most likely it's due to some of the recent Java updates.
I guess the best thing you could do is to press Ctrl+Esc - Type "Configure Java" - press enter, go to security tab select 'medium'.
And possibly also press "Edit Site List" on that tab, press "Add" and enter "http://www.ratemydrawings.com/javadraw/" maybe that would help.
Yes Java is not the best platform to run things online currently, but rewriting all the code of ChibiPaint is almost impossible and most likely it will run into a lot of problems on other web based application languages anyway.

This is one of the most seriously cool things I've ever seen and used! I died when I saw the rotate canvas button. I have had so many drawings fail because I couldn't get the proper angle for things. I will have to experiment with this further, but O.M.G. this is awesome, you're awesome. big_smile

Woah thank you very much. But actually all the canvas rotation features are present in rmd version already) Just a tip though: the easiest way to rotate canvas is alt + pressing middle mouse button and moving mouse)

OMG there lot of features i always wanted just like that magic wand , blur( mine wasnt working; ) , fill tool with clean edges I very appreciate this  I love select tool too bad my tabletpen is acting all weird to the point its barely working and  i too is broken have no money to replace it U_U though i cant upload them on online version  i still love it your an awesome IT

Thank you very much for using it! big_smile
Actually blur tool is left from original ChibiPaint though it's working very strange (almost doing nothing actually) and it also was removed in RMD version probably for the same reason. I may try to make it usable, I just wasn't very interested in it before)

well blur tool  actually work but its just not visible i tried clicking it 20 time just to see the result so i use the blend tool which is more similar to blur tool on SAI, The only way i can upload the offline version to the online one is overwrite the original chi file (save for computer later), I was wondering if theres a polygonal lasso tool or magnetic lasso i guess not http://www.enableart.org/photography/sc … _tools.jpg

Yes, overwriting original file is the only way, you may just save empty files for all RMD sizes through site though and then copy them to create .chi files which can be uploaded. This is all because of cheating prevention policy which was discussed in the beginning of this thread.

Well for now there's only one kind of "lasso", making rectangular is fairly easy I guess, magnetic is not that obvious on the other hand, haven't used PS for a long time so I even forgot how it actually works)
