As part of the upcoming DrawChat updates, we have implemented some updates to the DrawChat gallery pages to support upcoming features.
You will notice some very exciting things:
- A larger canvas: DrawChat version 2 will have a larger canvas, so we have updated the drawchat pages to support this. We have "enlarged" all existing drawchats to match this new size. You may notice that in the process of enlarging existing drawchats, some imperfections are also enlarged, but we feel these are a small price to pay for seeing drawchats at a much larger size in all their glory. All new DrawChats that are created with version 2 will not have this issue as no enlarging will be necessary.
- Rating DrawChats: How exciting... DrawChats can now be rated.
Coming soon: Very soon we will implement the ability to view "Top Rated" Drawchats, much like the Top Drawings section on our website. DrawChat ratings do not in any way contribute to any artists ranks, they will only be used as a way to view the most popular DrawChats on the site.
DrawChat version 2, should be ready for some public testing within the next few weeks. We will be launching in an "alpha" mode at first which means there will be some known bugs and issues but due to the nature of DrawChat, we need to give people access so we can test the software with live users. If everything goes well during this alpha stage, it should only be about a week before it becomes a "beta" for everyone to use. Beta mode means that it is ready for public use, but we will still be perfecting and working on some minor issues.
