How to send .RMD files to other users for collaborations

We have released a beta version of RMD file attachments to Private Messaging.

This will make it much easier to create collaborative drawings with other RMD members. If you would like to collaborate with another artist on a drawing, it's now as simple as following these steps...

- Start a drawing in the RMD drawing tool. (When working with one other artist, most people like to draw 50% ink each)
- When you're happy with drawing enough, save it as a RMD file to your computer
- Send a private message to the person you are collaborating with. When composing this message, be sure to click the "Attach a .RMD file" link, then follow the steps to attach your RMD file.
- Click send, and you're done

When the recipient receives the messages, it will contain a link where they can download this RMD file to their computer and load it into the RateMyDrawings Drawing Tool.

Remember, make sure you have agreed with someone to do a collaboration with them before you send them an RMD file. It's good to first message each other and plan your drawing by deciding what you should both draw. And remember, it's also possible to collaborate with several people!

We hope this makes collaborations much easier and helps our community enjoy working together with other artists. It's a great way to learn and lots of fun.

The best way to support our community is to just keep drawing - even if it's for fun and not serious. Another way is by taking time to occasionally rate and comments drawings by new or learning artists.
