Please read before suggesting new features

One thing we're quite proud of on RateMyDrawings is how we've grown with our members. Many many features on the site are the result of suggestions by all our members and it really helps us make sure we're giving you features that you want the most. So, we welcome ideas but please keep the following in mind...

Implementing new features to our site is sometimes a simple or quick task but many features are not as simple as they may seem on the surface. First of all we need to think about how new features effect any existing features, then we often like to do usability testing to ensure the new feature is well thought out and easy to use. Following this are technical reviews to see how much these effect our database or coding on our site, if they will increase load on our servers, or any other technical ramifications. Incorrectly implemented features that are not optimized and put into place the correct way can have drastic effects on the performance of our website. To summarize - we like to perfect our work before we release it.

We also have a "future features" list that is always growing, moving and being adjusted. Many features suggested to us are added to this list, then prioritized.

We do read, review and evaluate all suggestions, so if you have posted a suggestions please don't keep posting asking why it hasn't been done yet, but do know that we're always listening even if we don't reply smile

The best way to support our community is to just keep drawing - even if it's for fun and not serious. Another way is by taking time to occasionally rate and comments drawings by new or learning artists.
