Since I had a really tough time judging all the entries, I made up a judging criterion and added up the points for each of the eligible entries. Each are judged on a scale of 0 to 10.They are as follows:
  -Creativity
  -Effort
  -Technical Skill
  -Popularity : this is measured by the total amount of combined ratings and comments. This score was divided by 2, so as not to be weighed as heavily.
  -My Preference : this is my personal preference for the picture as well as how well I thought the picture met contest rules and goals

Comments: I really love all the wonderful detail put into this piece: the checkered background, broken chain, tattered cape. My only suggestion is that it needs visual focus. The blue stands out, but the background guides the eye instead to the upper corner.

Comments:  This picture captures both the beauty and danger of lightning using splashes of dramatic purple.  It placed second for the competition since the competition focus was to use color only sparingly though alone, this picture is perfect ^^

I also wanted to mention that your "Why Do They Haunt Me?" picture would have won most dramatic use of colour had you not won 2nd place ♥

Comments: Wow! I thought this captured the heart of my competition: to creatively use a single color for DRAMA in the artwork. I ♥ all the creative techno-babble details and the eerie sci-fi glow. The bright white hair nicely draws attention to the face.

Comments: Excellent use of colour to accent the eye. I love how smoothly and effortlessly the colours blend together to create a firey golden effect. It is slightly bending the one-colour rule though XD And would have liked to see more shading on the hair.

Comments: Oooh the splatter of blood red over the entire picture is morbidly fascinating. I also love how the whole image has that shattered glass feel to it and the detailing of white bullet holes around the border.
