Copyright and using reference material

As many of you already know, we have been rolling out various updated policies on our community. One area we have paid much attention is the hot topic of Copyright.

We have made sure we are registered with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and have taken the necessary steps to ensure that as a service provider, we are conforming to the necessary policies. The updated Copyright policy is here: http://www.ratemydrawings.com/pages/copyright.php

Confused? Copyright can be a complicated subject, so we have also put together a guide to help people better understand the issue of using reference artwork. http://www.ratemydrawings.com/pages/referenceguide.php

I recommend that as members, you familiarize yourself with what Copyright is and read the reference guide above to help get some ideas of the correct ways that you CAN use reference material when drawing.

The best way to support our community is to just keep drawing - even if it's for fun and not serious. Another way is by taking time to occasionally rate and comments drawings by new or learning artists.
