Chibi competition now live

I am happy to announce a fun competition has just launched. The theme is chibi characters. Chibi is a Japanese word used to describe a "small thing or a person with a small body". Chibi is a simple, cute form of manga -- Super Deformed or SD is another name for chibis and it's meaning is obvious.  If you are unfamiliar with Chibi characters you can see some examples here:

We wanted to create a theme that was a little less serious and more fun and also generally a different style that normal. I know many of you will have a lot of fun with this one. Use your imagination and create some really interesting drawings that tell a story, are humorous or perhaps even do something unique like draw a well known personality in chibi style or even a self-portrait in chibi style.

Our prizes for this competition are a little different than usual - we are offer 3 winners each a copy of some really great paint/drawing software. ArtRage offers artistic brushes and tools that try to feel more like natural drawing and painting tools rather than modern graphics tools seen in most applications.

Happy Chibi drawing everyone! Have fun smile

The best way to support our community is to just keep drawing - even if it's for fun and not serious. Another way is by taking time to occasionally rate and comments drawings by new or learning artists.
