I've noticed when you joined a room owned by someone else, and they give you permission to draw, you only had permission for the duration of that stay, because when you joined again, you had to regain it. I do not know if that is intentional, or a part of how that permission system works.
MICK SAYS: We will be monitoring how well this works as it is now. The additional resources needed to keep these permissions persistent may not outway the benefits.
I've also noticed the fill tool would continue to draw after you had finished your strokes, but that had only occured maybe once or twice.
MICK SAYS: We hope to have fixed this issue.
When I made a room, and eye-dropped a blue, it worked fine. However, when I went to another room, switched to black at a less than 50% transparency, then tried to eye-drop that shade, it gave me the blue I had initially eye- dropped from the first room.
MICK SAYS: We hope to have fixed this issue.
The box line tool works, but the 1st thickness gives you the same thickness as the 2nd thickness, only at a lower transparency. I tested the other tools to be sure, and it seems to only be that problem with the box tool.
MICK SAYS: This is a known issue that we will further investigate a solution.

when i use fill tool, 5 seconds later, my work disappears!
MICK SAYS: Bug possibly fixed - We hope to have fixed this issue, please let us know if it still happens
i think someone reported this already, but every 3rd stroke when i'm using fill tool turns dark, when i'm on a low transparency.... then on the 4th it turns pale, then on the 5th it turns dark again... and so on and so forth. Hope i make sense! XD

sometimes when you clear, its not cleared for everyone. the canvas will sometimes be stuck and you have to reenter everytime it happens.

ok on player made rooms if you are a mod and you make a room you leave it and a friend joins it it says mod the red m is next to them but they don't have any powers as a mod unless i change them and also if you make them able to draw and leave the room and come back it says there a mod but with no powers still.

the new version of the drawchat is not letting me get a reference i click on it and type a person like mia rose and i click the arrow and enter but it just stays the same
MICK SAYS: The reference feature allows you to load an image of the web somewhere into the tool. You must type in or paste the web address of an image to load - not type in someone's name.

When We clear, Someothers and myself, can still see the old drawing, while others see just a plain canvas.
It gets very annoying Dx

Exactly wat puppy said--
Wen me and a couple of friends were drawing and I clicked "Clear Canvas" and everyone saw it and clicked "Ok." But, only i could see the clear canvas.
We might have figured that the only way to actually clear the canvas on YOUR screen was to send the clear request yourself.
I hope you guys can fix this problem...I really like the new DrawChat : )

If you enter a room and you don't have permission to draw and change your font color,
then when they DO give you permission to draw
you font color changes back to black.

some people have Ms next to their names in permanent version, and when you zoom in & you're drawing in the corner, the lil "drawchat v.02" covers it. i was drawing something in that corner then zoomed in, and i couldnt see it very well.
----
Don't judge DCv2 NOW... judge it when the glitches are fixed!
question..
when all mods leave a room that needs their permission to draw, what happens? when you make somebody a mod, they leave the room & come back, they no longer have mod status. what if the main mod leaves and all the mods leave, too, but one person without drawing permission stays?
suggestion: be able to select what the other people can do when made mod.
like, lets say you're the Main Mod (MM)
MM: press M1 (minimod 1) 's name, select "Become mod"
check box comes up with selections
( ) undo room
(X) drawing permission
(X) Kick
( ) undo person's strokes
So, M1 can now give drawing permission and kick, however M1 cannot undo room strokes and undo a specific person's strokes. get it?

The Welcome to the lounge page is staying on top while the lounge tries to draw (very slowly!) whatever has been drawn on there. I try to go to another room but it won't let me. I have been on before when it wasn't so bad, still loading slowly but I could go to another room and the room would load, but this time it's really slow loading. It would probably take 1/2 hour to load the picture. I tried logging off and entering back a few times with no luck. I'll try back later. hopefully you can fix this, thanks! :>)
MICK SAYS: This was a temporary bug that should be fixed now.

I have brought up this issue before, but it seems, for my location, no matter what machine i use, whether it is a slightly higher performance computer or not, that there is wretched lag about when 50% of the ink is used. And the more that is drawn, the worse it gets. And, of course, the more people that are drawing, the worse it gets.
My connection speed is 100 Mbps and I was using a machine with 2 GB of ram, not sure about the video card but the graphics aren't that intense are they? I updated Flash, and I seriously have no idea what the problem is. I have no idea how this works... hard to wrap my mind around... but i'll ask some questions...
is the programing clunky and bogged down by the new details? Is something not syncing right? Why does it seem like very few people have the same problem? Has this computer become obsolete... so anyone with newer computers have less problems? Is it possible to accommodate for the more obsolete machines? I.e. making certain features optional to increase performance.
Refreshing the page doesn't help anymore like it did in the older drawchat.
And is it possible to make it show someone creating a circle or square while they're in the process, just like the fill tool. Because while the person is making it, it is not seen then BAM Shape. xD

Performance is one thing we continue to monitor. Lag has been improved for many people and others have reported lag issues like yourself.
The biggest contributor to this is most likely just the fact that we have a much bigger canvas, and more CPU/memory may be required to render drawings on the larger canvas size (graphics card is very important also). While we have done many optimizations to improve things, it is likely that the minimum computer requirements for am optimal experience may have increased.
We will keep monitoring and finding ways to improve performance and think of ways to improve things for slower computer.
If You notice any more patterns of exactly when you notice lag occurs and when it does not (if there are lots of people in the room, lots of people in drawchat, etc. please keep making notes and report your findings. I do know that the airbrush tool is one of the biggest resource hogs, so a drawing with lots of airbrush may cause more lag than one with less airbrush.
I appreciate everyone reporting these things - it helps us improve and we can't fix things if we don't know they're broken

Just got thrown out again and it will not let me back in. Says user name already taken. I created room.. Sniffle, sniffle!

The timeout for "username taken" issues has been reduced to 15mins, so you should only have to wait 15mins before you can log back in again. Unfortunately, we do not have a solution to this "username taken" yet despite having had several discussions with the creators of the DrawChat server software company.

Some more improvements that could be made:
When you select Clear Canvas, and all agree, for some, the drawing stays on the canvas despite others viewing it as cleared.
Since the canvas is now bigger, bigger tools would be nice. Blending with the airbrush has become sloppy since the tool is so small and also coloring in with the pencil tool looks like a sloppy marker job.xD
That's all i can think of for now.. the lag has become very painful... and makes me want to go back to older DC.><
