New comment smilies

I'm excited about our latest feature. Sometimes something simple can go a long way.

Comments on drawings are one thing that many of us treasure and they can be so much more meaningful that ratings as you get a written idea of what someone thinks.

So, we have added comment smilies that allow you to attach a smilie to your comment to let people know what type of comment it is. This may not seem like much, but this way of categorizing your comments does many things:
- It gives you a very quick visual representation of what people think of your drawing
- It should encourage you all to think more about your comments and what type of comment you want to make. The "tips" and "ideas" smilies are in a way replacing our feedback system. By simply attaching these two smilies you can give some feedback to the artists without the harsh statement of saying "this is feedback - you must listen". Instead it's just a subtle way of letting someone know your comment is more than just a "ha ha" or "awesome".
- It's just plain fun smile

The old feedback system will be phased out. All your old feedbacks will still appear in your comments, they will just be turned into comments and have the "Tips" smilie attached to them.

Happy commenting everyone - I hope this feature is enjoyable, meaningful, and helps us all both as commenters and as artists.

The best way to support our community is to just keep drawing - even if it's for fun and not serious. Another way is by taking time to occasionally rate and comments drawings by new or learning artists.
