As a Species

It's our responsibility to survive and live and look after one another, but having said that, we are our biggest threat.
http://www.truthdig.com/report/item/200 … tinction//

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read this, it summarises all the reasons why everyone should make an effort to maintain the survival of Homo Sapiens as a species.

If you disagree, you have all the more reason to read this and do your research. There's no reward for ignorance

Re: As a Species

Well that all seemed rather obvious. hmm
Hasn't it been obvious that we're overpopulating for like...ever now?

Good thing I don't plan on reproducing. lol

Maybe we should just let every single murderer ever loose...that ought to thin the herd a tad.

(In all honesty though I do take this seriously, I just don't have anything useful to say about it! big_smile)

It's all fun and games until someone has mutant salamander babies.

Re: As a Species

It's obvious, and I have read so many articles and seen so many tv shows on it, but that's the best one I've ever seen. It does the best job of clarifying to everyone that reads that we've no bloody choice if we want to live for another 100 years.

Re: As a Species

The problem is laziness and greed and the fact that very few people grow or produce their own food, energy, clothing or pretty much any resource. We concrete the land instead of using it, use polluting fuels for transport and energy. We buy food, water, electricity, fuel, appliances, robots, houses, clothes, soap,, Pretty much everything we buy, was made in a polluting way and then produces tons of pollution when we use them.

The large population would be no problem if everyone pulled their finger out and grew their own food, and used non polluting energy or fuels.

Even if reproducing is restricted the lazy/greed problem is still going to be there.

It'd be much better if everyone learned to be self sustainable (even if it was one thing like energy, fuel, or food) rather than stop making babies.

But,, the biggest trouble is the governments/organizations suppressing inventions that make clean energy and fuel, and information/education on self sufficiency, including easily made cures/treatments (instead of costly drugs) for illnesses, because there is no money in people making their own energy, fuel, and food.

People tend not to believe, until it becomes blatantly obvious. Which is often too late. And also makes them just as easy to manipulate as a gullible person, if not easier.

Anyway, I've said too much. But there's some of my opinions on the subject.

I totally agree with your opinion.
