I had trouble doing linearts ( I still do lol) but if you use java, these tutorials are helpful;
http://www.ratemydrawings.com/tutorials … vised.html
Mainly the first part and where it teaches you about the smoothing tool is the best.

An then the last part of this one is helpful for java as well. Except, you don't have to use the bezier tool like it says. Since you learn how to do smoothing in the first one, you can use that instead.
I hope this is helpful, and happy drawing! Never say your drawings are messed up, one, because its simply not true, and two, that will only make you not like drawing!

Well maybe it's just me but lineart is most depressive thing. Each time I draw it, it takes a lot of time, when I look at it in zoom and see that it's horrible, try to fix some things then continue to draw, see that it's horrible again, try to fix some more but it's already harder and it goes on and on...
Also I'm always not sure about such little stuff like to include things like eyes or pupils into lineart or not and when I don't draw them I'll notice that lineart is horrible only when I'll start drawing eyes. Around this time, mostly I say 'screw it' and just draw something else without lineart
I know I just need to practice but that's a kinda not happy thing for me afterall))
Thank you for the tutorials art_attack.

Wow thank you so much Predelnik about zooming and zooming out i'll try that as well! And sometime i also go "screw it!!!" but wen I'm determined....i just freak everyone around me...
And the eye part is confusing...i wonder if there is a "wrong" way of doing line arts...

Well there's a lot of wrong ways, but the saddest is to understand that you're doing it wrong but just couldn't reach enough quality
What I love about drawings without lineart is that you can fix almost everything in every moment but with lineart you just should make good lineart first and then color it, that kinda rubs me the wrong way))

So I was writing a little explanation on how to lineart and backgrounds...
and then I hit random buttons and my chrome flooped away and I lost my explanation OTL
Ah well, been planning on making a big tutorial anyway that will contain everything I know about drawing manga. I don't know when I'll put it on the site, but if I do manage to finish it, I hope it will help you P:

My teacher explains me something.
The next day:
He says his own explanation is wrong.
"You told me that yesterday."
"No, I didn't!"
"It's written down here!"
"What you actually should do-"
"- excuse me but this is your explanation!"
"No it's not."
"I even did what you told me to do while you sat next to me and said it was okay!"
"No..."
-considering there was nothing of much value to gain in continuing this debate of right and wrong and I didn't feel like putting much more effort into it: I let it slip, but when he's gone:-
This didn't happen once. This happens all the time.
Plus his explanations are so vague.
anyways, imma start the tutorial~
