oh... so that means if i draw a person in blue, his/her skin has to be somewhat blue, blue eyes, blue lips, just darker or lighter, right ?
sounds fun, i'll join

at first i did draw everything in one color shceme ( it not really red or orange, it about 30% yellow, 70% red, i don't know how to say that color in english, red orange ?? @_@ ). And then i found the background ( red brown) quite simple so i decided to use yellow to emphasize it ( since red/orange/yellow these colors look good together, but only yellow can light up the whole background)
The drawing turned out quite good so....oh well...
it's okay, obviously there are 2 colors, so let's be fair to other competiors. I'm pretty satisfied with the result, joining your comp really gave me a chance and patience to finish this drawing, that one thing is enough to me

I had the same quandry, Pechucky. The flames were yellow in my ref, and everything else was more red, with the glass being a burgundy, almost purple color. I chose the middle orange, and it worked/ Did the candles and flames white with the tiniest bit of orange at the edge. I put the grayer tones in her skin which made the glass candle holders look more red. It is really amazing the range of color you can get with just the one pallette...This was an excellent idea, Ammona
