Hi! I feel awkward writing this
haha but I'm new here (I guess. I was an extremely active member then took a sudden hiatus for about a year)
I don't want to draw cartoons or manga, I just want to *draw* without limiting myself to cartoons. I got stuck in a rut because I feel like I'm terrible at anything else :c
Well I hope I get to meet some of you! ((:

It is easy to only draw what you feel your good at.. I think everyone of us are guilty of that in here... I draw a lot of landscapes with water Because i guess i can... but I am horrible at manga and horrible at portraits... every once in a while I will attempt to draw out of my comfort zone... I hope you enjoy trying to challenge yourself... I think you will do well at most anything you try so keep trying dont give up
Best way to get better is practice. It shows you are passionate and determined.
Just don't take everything seriously if it doesnt go to plan, art is a progressive skill.
While at the same time its good to have a prefered style. Its also good to challenge yourself and by that, attempt a drawing using a ref, (ref because you will have to recreate something you see which makes it that much harder) that makes you think, OMG NO! THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE and when you succeed you will feel something you have never felt for quite a while.
Just dont give up.
