Sub-zero dread

Competition Closed
This will be a horror competition.
In this competition I want to feel the anticipation of horror. I want to look at the drawing and feel a chill down my spine, feel that something terrible is going to happen, but I don't want the horror to be apparent. Some people may find this difficult, but isn't that the point of a competition?

I want the drawing to be set in winter. Things happen unexpectedly during the winter.

A little story of myself in a winter experience and it is entirely true.
I was walking through the woods near my home. It was about 10F and there was very little snow. A few minutes later snow was everywhere I couldn't see my own hand in front of my face, then I heard a howl. I couldn't tell where it was coming from, then more howls all around after the howling there was a lot of high pitched barking noises. I started walking fast and next thing I know a coyote jumped on me then more showed up.
The snow started to die down and I made a run for it. I had them on my trail the whole way to the road. Fortunately, when I made it to the road they all left. I did escape, and I made it out of that little ordeal with only a few cuts, bruises, and bites. I did go to the hospital and I didn't get anything from the animals.
It's just to show that unexpected things happen during the winter and the unexpected weather adds to the suspense of what is going to happen. I live in the city now, but I do miss walking though those woods.

Winners
1st MOONLIGHT by Bernaud It's very subtle yet freighting. The perspective is great for adding to the atmosphere. It almost reminds me of the woods I used to walk in when it was dark.

2nd Shattered memories by ZorbaX This is scary. I used to be scared of a dark corner in my room. It was the darkest of them all when it was night and very little light was shining through my window. This kind of reminds me that. Good work.

3rd Sacrifice by Sweetlove15 The detail in this is great. I knew you were capable of doing something this good. I love how it's sad, cute, and scary at the same time.

Not secret used to be super secret 4th place Distortion by FudgeMuffin This is a very good drawing. I do say that "Clarity" is great because I can see all the details. You did do a great job on the fog and snow in Distortion though.

Re: Sub-zero dread

Damn it.

I was going to submit my Rise of Evil drawing, but it's not really new.
I could try something better, I suppose.
