REALLY REALLY AWESOME... just love the effects you got with this technique. I need to learn how to use the layer tool.. Got any pointer feel free to pass them on ,, Great work here!

Rustybird replied:  May 31, 2012

The Layer tool is Brilliant and very useful for getting really clean edges if you use it with the eraser tool. I am still learning how to use it and there is a lot more to it than I first thought. For example...if you have about 3 layers you can click on Layer 1 (on the blank rectangle to the right of the words) and add things under the other layers....AND....I have started using an extra layer to make shadows using the spray tool over and to the side of the object then erase where the spray tool has covered the object! I hope this makes sense...it's hard to explain in words :0/ Perhaps I will have a go at doing a demo...if I can work it out!!!?? Hope this helps

HOMILUIS  May 30, 2012

wow...how did you do this?.. plus i like the lettering did you use a tablet to do the letters there so neat

Rustybird replied:  May 31, 2012

Hi...and thanks! I used the layer tool to copy the postcard then wrote through using eraser tool. All my pictures are done with mouse so if I want neater, controlled writing I use the Smoothing tool so that I don't get any wobbles:0) Hope that helps
