I didn't want to make an opposites picture with just a a person cut in half, or two people side by side. Anyway, I think there will be another free/imprisoned picture, but more...Sad.

Tips/ideas: I think by adding a bit more detail in the bird..

Likes: The emotional idea is very sentimental. You shaded it perfectly and the overall 'motion' of the picture is very smooth and flowing.
Tips/ideas: I think the background looks very unfocused. Some more deatiling to make it seem like a forest would compliment it nicely.
