Agree with sweetlove...you've got a fine start, composition, proportion, all great. Now just dial in your colors/shading. Don't give in, dive in!

This is really promising, my tip would be to not over-define any edges or outlines, use appropriate shading, but this is a great WIP :D
LOL realism isn't my thing either but practice makes perfect and this looks really good to me 5/5 hearts i can't wait until it's done =D
