"The Swan" Night Blooming Iris Still Life
I grow a lot of irises in my gardens. It's one of my favorite flowers & I try to take photos of new varieties wherever I go. This drawing is part real & part imagination. Based on a strange Iris I found growing in a turn of the century garden.

Brilliant draw.. loivn' those colours:) 5/5 fav's & coll .. btw; I have beent rying to draw an Iris for ages now,I hav'nt got very far with it so far :)
Thanks Glynn--I find irises to be one of the easier flowers to draw....poppies too. Don't give up on creating an iris drawing of your own. I prefer drawing them to roses, which I think are harder to make look more realistic and accurate.
The flower looks even more beautiful against the night sky background with the colorful aurora/nothern lights/or something in it! xD I adore the way you drew the petals so delicately and the amethyst/opal/citrine colors of them. :D 5/5 and favorites.
