ABOUT THIS BETA DRAWING TOOL

Our Java drawing tool is based on ChibiPaint - a java based drawing application. We have customized our version to suit RateMyDrawings and will continue to keep our tool compatible with future releases of ChibiPaint so we can take advantages of any future features that may be available from the developers of ChibiPaint.   TIP: We recommend that you assign more memory to Java to use this tool - Read more here

RIGHT-CLICK on cavas - Select canvas color (Eye Dropper color selector)
SPACEBAR - Hold space and click/drag to position canvas Ctrl + and Ctrl - zoom in and out Undo/Redo - only has several levels of undo Saved .CHI files resets all undo levels

DRAWING TOOL INSTRUCTIONS / HELP

Pencil General pencil drawing tool. Change Brush Size for thickness. Pen Slightly softer edged than pencil tool.
Aurbrush Blurred/soft painting tool for shading. Change opacity for transparency options. Watercolor Brush Blended painting brush for a wet-paint effect
Eraser (Hard edge) Erases drawing from the current layer Eraser (Soft edge) A softer eraser effect
Smudge Like smudging wet paint with your finger Blend Blends colors together under your brush
Darken Darkens colors as you draw Lighten Lightens colors as you draw
Fill Fills an enclosed area with the current color. Make sure the area you wish to fill has no gaps or the whole canvas will be filled 100% zoom Zoom to exact size
Zoom in Zoom in (or use Ctrl + or your mouse scroll wheel) Zoom out Zoom in (or use Ctrl - or your mouse scroll wheel)
Undo Undo the last action (limited leves of undo) Redo Redo the last action (limited levels of redo)
Brush options - Settings to adjust your brush thickness, transparency/opacity, smoothing, scattering, etc. Playing with these settings is the best way to learn what they do.
Layers - Layers allow you to draw at different depths in your drawing.
