Step 1

draw a simple rectangle this is the stalk

 

Step 2

Then add a circle at the top which will be the rose bud

 

 

Step 3

Then start to add thorns on the stem different sizes

 

Step 4

Then add layers to the rose bud and replace the outline with bumps

 

Step 5

next try and draw an uneven stem to make it look more realistic tip: you may need to draw the thorns again i had to when doing this

 

 

Step 6

now to add colour draw on the outline of the petals on the rose bud with red pen or pencil crayon

 

Step 7

now fill the rose petals in all different shades of pink red and purple (if you want to do the rose bud in a different colours that is fine)

 

Step 8

now highlight the thorns with a brown and colour the insides with a dark and a light green

 

Step 9

No outline the stem with a dark green and fill the stem with other shades of green

 

Step 10

you may want to add details and finishing touches what i did i drew a shadow using a dark grey, a petal and i outlined all the rose with black then youre done! :)
