I don't feel the right person to teach you drawing or something, but since everyday people asking me about some tips..like how to draw hair, skin tones etc,I decided to share with you some techniques and thoughts. In my personal opinion there are no any art teachers. We are the teachers of ourselves! Our eyes are the teachers. What we have to do is to be patient!
Step 1Ok so we have a lovely little girl here.We are gonna observe that picture very carefully and notice many things.
Before start to draw any drawing, you have to dedicate some extra minutes watching the picture you chose very carefully. That helps more than you may think.
If you feel ready to draw it what you have to do is make the outlines. If you want to create a successful realistic portrait then you have to know that the outlines are very important thing and you have to be very insistent to make them.
Step 2In this picture I made some colorful lines to show you the gradients of the face. You always have to compare the distances between everything. Those lines were made just to help you to understand the perspective of the face. The red line is the straight horizontal line that you always have to have in your mind when you see a picture. It helps you to understand how many gradients of the face abstain of it and what shapes they create together.Your imagination has to work very creatively even if you drawings something which doesn't come from your mind. You have to parallel many shapes together.
Step 3Once you finished the outlines of the face, what you have to do now is to fill it with color.
This part is the most difficult since there are thousands of tones in the picture.Don't feel disappointed!!!Never!First of all you have to find the darkest tones of the picture and the lighter ones.As you can see I put some extra yellow color in the most light parts of the picture.
When you feel like fill it with colors you have to start making the first tones that your eye catches in any part of the picture.Start drawing the basic color tones and then observe even more carefully what each tone has in it,what shapes can you see there and the colors. All the pictures are tricky but be sure that your eye can be even more tricky If you're patient and willing to discover what the most little tone hides in it. You have to remember that in little things, shapes or colors your eye sees there are even more little from them..what you have to do is being patient and passionate about your work. You have to compare and analyze any tone, any color..you have to understand it before you draw it.This is the access to realistic drawing.
I hope I gave you some "tips" about how to work.
Feel free to send me messages asking me whatever you want to.It's my pleasure to help you all. :)
