Just a couple of hints and the process of completing twilight picture i drew. This tutorial shows you the process of drawing from outline to coloring and texture/detail :) Enjoy.
Step 1First I made a new layer and named it sketch, then on it I drew a simple sketch using the brush tool with black on a medium opacity.
Step 2Then i made a layer underneath my sketch but above my 1st layer. On this I roughly blocked in some basic colours.
Step 3I duplicated the block colours layer. Then i used the brush tool on a low opacity on that layer and started to blend in more tones in Bella's face.
Step 4Now i start doing smaller details and hide my sketch layer. All the rest of the drawing I did on one layer, the layer i named colour.
Step 5Now i fixed a few thins and added more detail. One thing that was wrong was that his head was too wide. ha. looked funny.
Step 6For the skins pores i use a brush with size 1, opacit fairly high and make cross-hatches of different tones to create the pore look. Then its very harsh so I keep blaending till it's smoother.
Step 7For Edward's stubble i used a brush size 1, with mediaum scatter and first went across with a dark grey, then over again with a ligh grey.
Step 8Finished off Edward and the background. To do the background i used a hard full opaicty brush then used the blend tool to smudge it.
Step 9Then I did the clothing, This for some reason took me forever.
To start it i went over with different tones with my scatter brush then use the plain brush to draw loads of lines.
Now onto the hair. :) Almost done..
Step 10I like doing hair because its really easy to make it look realistic. :)
I started off at the bottom of Bella's hair, and worked in really detailed, first I did the darks and went over them with l9ghter strokes to create depth.
Step 11Here's Bella's hair started in detail.
Step 12Finished Bella's hair so then i start on Edward's.
Step 13His hair seemed to take a long time too, maybe because it was the final lap in the drawing. :) But it was tricky. Started off as usual with dark patches then went over with think lighter lines.
