Step 1

Start with a simple Circle, size depends on what size you want him to be..

 

Step 2

Now add a line for the tail and a smaller wide circle for the head.

 

 

Step 3

Add limbs, start with circles for joints and paws, and lines for the leg length.

 

Step 4

Add "A" shapes for his ears.

 

Step 5

Add a cross line and some small details to clarify facial expression.
Here I'm using his signature expression, the Grin.

 

 

Step 6

Clean up your sketch!
I put it on a dark background so it showed better.:)

 

Step 7

Then line it and color it.>.<
