One of my processes for linearting and coloring my RMD pictures.
I've said this before in my other tutorials, and I'll say it again: This isn't the only way to color. There are tons of ways, and this is just one of the ways I do it.
Okay, disclaimer finished :3
Basically you just start with a sketch, trying to get as much detail you can get down without being too worried about perfection or cleanliness. The sketch is on Layer 2 (bottom), Rough lineart will be on Layer 3 (top, and blank thus far), and the actual lineart will be on Layer 4. I tend to delete Layer 1; the fact that it doesn't have transparency irritates me. But whatever, if you like it, draw on it, ya know?
On the next layer I tried to make it a little more clear, as well as changing a few key details. I made Kyrka go from sticking her arm out to holding the tea tray, and I changed who was in the bed.
Then I screwed around with the file on MS Paint for no particular reason other than to mess around. It's not a part of the tutorial, though.
After I'm sure I've gotten most of the details down, I lower the opacity and turn it into one layer.
Make sure to save your drawing, especially after so much hard work! I've had enough drawings obliterated in freak computer crashes than I'd like to admit.
The next layer is almost the lineart stage, bu it's one of the best places to check how everything looks. Just take a smaller brush, a darker line (I don't usually use black though), and try to be as neat as possible. If you want it to, this could be your lineart layer; just make sure to clean it up to so it looks the best!
Now for the coloring, haha.
Actually, I will have to put the coloring process in a different tutorial, sorry!
It will be made, though!
