Step 1

first, do the sketch! Use 30% transparency! No need to be so accurate here, just outline the picture. Make sure you donít waste more than 5% ink in this step
(this wonít happen anyway XD)

Step 2

Then use the fill tool with 50% transparency to erase your outline. (If you use Photoshop, you donít need to do this)

Step 3

Start your coloring with the skin as I always do! For the basic skin use 40% transparency then use the airbrush (chose the size you want) for shading. Make sure that you shade exactly like the reference picture, or if there was no one, just keep in mind these tips:

-always half of the face is darker except if she/he was standing in front of something

-the edges of her face has to be a little bit darker

-under the neck should be darker than the shading

Step 4

When drawing the eyes! Make sure to draw the black outline of the eye then do the inner shades and circles. When shading the eye, use low transparency to make the eye looks real!

Step 5

The hair now! Before you do anything! You have to practice on using the fill tool! When you feel you are good! Try drawing the hair this way! First, use a full transparency fill tool. And color the hair! See how easy is this step!

Step 6

Continue with the hair; use a darker color to draw the lines in the hair! Then use a lighter color, use the fill tool with a 70% transparency and this NEED accuracy! To do the shading on the top of the hair! After you finish you add a white color or line (as you like) but keep in mind the transparency!

For the final touches!
Outline the face with black and add some artistic shades!
And thatís all (donít forget you signature)
