Lineart 101

So you wanna make a lineart? Well here's a tutorial that might help!

Step 1

First of, you need a refrence pic, or the picture you going to draw. But make sure you credit the original artist who made it.

 

Step 2

Make a basic sketch of the pose.

 

 

Step 3

The next part will be more detailed, so put it on another layer and lighten the basic sketch

 

Step 4

Here's how i made the hair. Make sure you have your ref right next to the canvas.

 

Step 5

The third layer is even more detailed than the last. Remember, it doesn't have to be perfect, it's only a sketch.

 

 

Step 6

Time for inking! When mangakas (manga artists) draw, they use a pen and nib. To get that effect, darken over some areas like the ones circled.
