How to draw Dante from PS2's Devil May Cry game

Step 1

First and foremost you begin with the rough sketch of what you want to acomplish.

 

Step 2

Next you may begin adding more detail to your rough drawing so that you may have a better understanding of what you want to show.

adding lines to show where and what type of clothing, gestures, and hair styles, etc...

 

 

Step 3

After eliminating any extra lines, we begin to add color. It is totally your option on how to draw dante, and what colors coordinate better for you.



 

Step 4

Next you can add any gestures you want. and add more details to his jacket as well as shading and lighting to the entire drawing to give it some realistic highlights.

(Often times, zooming on a certain area with the magnify glass help to work on areas that are harder to reach like the eyes)-many art programs.

 

Step 5

Finally, adding more detail in the background will help identify the character and its surroundings.
