this tutorial will show you how to colour and shade drawing including reflection of lights nicely
Step 1ok..have your drawing ready..as 4 me, i use my elf drawing in this tutorial
Step 2pick your skin colour..i take the light one as the base colour
Step 3pick a darker colour than the base, and set the transparency by 25-30. i use the fill tool to do this
Step 4for the cloth, pick the colour brown with transparency 80-85.
Step 5next is the hair colour..i choose yellow, a bit murky one with transparency 90-95. again i use fill too to do this..it's easier though..
Step 6now, pick an even darker colour than before, colour it like this.
Step 7then, pick a lighter colour than before and the base colour,(same transparency) and colour the hair to make a bit details.
Step 8ok..after the hair..colour the jacket with green.
Step 9now..for the shading of the cloth, i use the fill tool also, but with darker green colour. set the transparensy 15-20. just colour it ovr and over...make it overlap
Step 10use the same step here on the clothing (jacket??) but to be safer, for straight line shadow, i use the pencil, size 3 and transparency 30-35.(the colour is darker than th base)
Step 11the same step apply here( fold at wrist)..pick a darker brown..i use the fill tool here with the transparency 85
Step 12then, as usual pick a darker colour and set the transparency 80, shade the cloth here.
Step 13same process happen here..this time, i sue the pencil, size 3 and shade it even more on top of the previous shading, with transparency 20-25.
(make it overlap until it seems to be smoother)
Step 14same here...
Step 15now...at her chest..choose a bit darker colour, to mark where the shades should be. set the transparency 50-55
Step 16then, pick an even darker colour than in previous step, colour it to mark where the darker shade should be
Step 17now, with the same colour, pick the air brush tool but set the transparency to 84, size 3. brush it around the and make a half circle..
Step 18then,with the same colour, set the transparency to 20 and repeat step 17, but this time, make it full circle.
Step 19for the light reflection, pick the lightest colour of the brown (not white!) and set the transparency to 35-40. brush it like this
Step 20for the eye, i choose the blue colour. transparency is 30, for the base and the a darker one for the shading
Step 21then, pick a lighter blue and set the transparency to 40. use air brush and make it upwards. then use the pencil of size 2(same colour and transparency), make a curve-liked line like this.
Step 22after adding all the details ( colour all parts, and add the strings at her chest ), clean the drawing. for the outline, pick the black colour, using pencil size 1 and transparency 55.
Step 23final.....blacken all the outline and....finish!
