Step 1

I used this image:[ LINK ] as my reference.
For first I made the background of drawing with airbrush tool.

After that I made few guidelines for guide layer to help me place eyes nose etc...

Step 2

Here I added in some of the main colors of the picture using the "fill tool". You can hide the guidelines already or in the next step.

Step 3

Here I added the skin color and some other main colors to the drawing(use lower opacity(20-40%) for best result.

Step 4

Now I added in some details.
For nose, mouth and eyes I used zoom to be sure I dont mess up since I'm mouse user.

Step 5

Here I added in secondary colors,details and shadowing. The most important thing is to use fill tool at very low opacity.

Step 6

Final step! Add in small details and try to fix your mistakes.
For hair I used low opacity pen tool to add in some more detail.
