Step 1

I went to my first art class a few weeks ago, and I learnt so much there. So I thought It would be fun to share what I learnt there with some other people. I know I'm not the best technically skilled, or the best 'teacher'.. But I do beleive that EVERYONE on here has something helpful, cool or unique to share on here ^^

Well, here we go..
-First you need to draw a basic head shape (drawing the guide lines on a new layer and a different colour, will help will you to get the right shapes and proportions) I highlighted where the light should hit the face. On the other side of the face should be a darker shade of the skin, but you can use other colours like purple, blue, and even green to shade your draw with.
- In the second picture I removed the guide lines, since we now have our basic head shape, and a rough idea on where to place the eyes, nose and mouth.

Step 2

Now that we have our lights, shadows and basic shapes, we can use them to create our drawing.
We can quickly sketch some hair now, don't need to worry to much of it being perfect, at this momnet anyway.
You can now add the eyes, and define the nose an lips a little more.
- In the second drawing I highlighted the areas in which it should be a darker colour (like black) behind the ears, shoulders and parts of the clothing.

Step 3

- If your going to use the darken and lighten tool, just don't over do it to the point where you've completely burnt your drawing lol.

Step 4

The rest of it is up to you and your creativity ^^
