How to draw eyelashes!

Here is just a rough drawing of an eye onto wich i will put eyelashes

That is how you don't do your eyelashes!

Eyelashes are not a tooth bruch! I saw many people draw eyelashes in this way...that is absolutely wrong!

And here is most common mistake that i've come across many people! Eyelashes, where do they grow from? They don't grow out of our eye..the grow out of skin on our eyelids ;) This picture shows that it grows out of the eye!

Step 5

First eyelash. It is curvy and not sooo black! I've chosen in this picture pitch black and set transperancy on 30. Also notice that it is not gworing out of the eye :) and it is not tooo short and not too long.

Step 6

Here i did half of my bottom eyelshes. I used low transperancy set on 30 and went over few eyelashes near were they start to grow with same transperancy, to make it a bit more darker.

Step 7

These eyelashes that i've put red around are hardly to see, they are very light and usually a bit shorter then outer eyelashes! Here i've used transperany 10 and went over some lashes again, at the beginning where they start to grow.

Step 8

Reflection of lashes in the eye! on the iris I've used Black, transperancy set on 30, and on the white i used grey transperancy on around 30, 25.

Step 9

Here is finished eyelashes! At the side of the eye they go a bit to the side, not straight! Eyelashes that are very long need to be lighter in transperancy, shorter lashes need to be darker. Near inner eye lashes are shorter again and lighter in transperancy, they also dont stick out so much..rather go a bit down and then curl up!
