This tutorial will show you step by step how to draw realistic water droplet flying through the air using RMD beta tool.
First fill the canvas with black using fill bucket tool.
select Air Brush
*Brush size set on 100%
*Opacity on 15%
*color on 10%
work with it from the middle to the sides of the canvas, but leave some corner a bit darkish to make it interesting.
Here i selected new layer (layer 2)
[+ = add new layer. please be sure that it is highlighted as in my window]
Add the black shapes (water). If you have tablet - press the little circle near "brush size" that is it black and set brush size to 53%
*opacity and color on 255 and 100% (on full)
-if you are using mouse you need to change your brush sizes to achieve this shapes.
here i selected hard edge rubber and shaped my black water droplets to the shape that i am satisfied with.
*Brush size 6%
Select Airbrush tool and start adding same color as background (orange) to the black at the top of the circle. Do not add to much but not too little it needs some black at the bottom and little bit at the top.
*brush size 26%
Also do not make it too bright yet!
Now do that to the rest of the waterdroplet leaving some dark edges (work with airbrush and change it's sizes to fit to the black, and be careful not to come out of the waterdroplet with it, it will make it look funny).
now go over with airbrush at some places that need a bit more glow and highlight.
now select water tool and add the reflections of the light on the droplets (trick if the light coming from the top you going to gave more black at the top and highlight at the bottom and the reflection going to be at the black side on the top in my case it is other way round the light coming from the bottom, i have more black at the bottom and highlight at the top, you can see that very good on the top round droplet)
*brush sire 2%
first i uesd soft edge rubber and corrected my shape a bit more
then i selected airbrush tool
*brush size 14%
and added light touch to the reflections but not all of them, the ones that are on the side need it and may be the main big one on the round droplet (only touch it once, because if you put too much of it it not going to look natural anymore)
Don't forget your signature :D ;)
