My technique on drawing strawberries.
Step 1~When I use a reference photo while drawing something, I preview the photo beside the minimized window where I draw. It's easier for me to copy and get the right details. ^_^
Step 2~First of all, pick a color for your strawberry. The bright red color is not the real color of a berry so pick a darker or lighter shade of red.
~I chose the fill tool and put the transparency on 85%. I first created the base layer of the strawberry and then I went over on some parts for the darker portions of the strawberry.
Step 3~Use airbrush to smoothen and make the colors blend harmoniously.
~Play with transparency while using the airbrush so the colors will blend pretty well.
Step 4~Pick a darker red color for the shadows on the seed areas.
~Then pick a brownish-yellow with a touch of green color for the seeds. ^_^
Step 5~Next, pick a very light color of the seed for its highlights.
~Then I used pencil with 37 transparency and color white for the highlights on the berry. I just did a few lines using the pencil.
~I used airbrush with the same transparency (37) and same color (white) for the highlights to become fuller and richer.
Step 6~Draw the leaves, mix and play with different shades of green.
~I also added a shadow.. And.. tadaa! Your strawberry is done! ^_^
