Blender isn't as crazy as it once was.

It's important to look at a video that goes through the interface. That helps a lot in understanding what things do, and where things you might be looking for, are.

I know two free 3d programs.

Easy: Sculptris

I use it C:
It's so cool.
You model faces or whatever in it. Really easy. Takes some time to get used to.
Perhaps you can download models and open them in sculptris.

Difficult: Blender

I opened it.
Got confused.
Closed it.
: D

I think (very sure) that you can change light set-up in it.

Have to pay, it's expensive, but there's a trial
Super difficult: 3D studio Max

I opened it.
Got super confused.
Closed it.

You can change light set-up in it. I think.

(I start with sculptris, because I want to try blender. I have no basic knowledge of 3D animation, so I try to get comfy with it in sculptris and eventually try my hand at blender)

Hi fellow drawing people smile

I'm looking for an app (iPad, or Mac) that can help me examine postures and expressions of the human body and face, with various lightning setups. I'm imagining a 3d-like app, where I could pose the figure, and perhaps switch between different facial expressions.

Does anyone know if that's actually done?

Kind regards,
