Re: Critique The Drawing Above :D I go...

The neck/chest area skin shading seems inconsistent with the rest of the drawing..  I mean, you showed that there was light shining pretty much directly onto him.. so therefore I think you should have illustrated this by lightening that area.. Also, maybe you could have defined his eyes more or something? They kind of blend in with his epic hair smile And.. perhaps there should be more clothing folds on the arm of his jacket? Haha I'm bad at explaining myself.. I hope you understand my critique..

Overall, I think it's a great drawing and you drew the hands epicly, and his hair is a really vibrant and nice shade of red, and it catches your eye in the thumbnail. I like the texture effects also.

-cough- I also like the abs <3.

I know there are many things wrong with it but please try to be nice @_@.

Re: Critique The Drawing Above :D

personally, i think there's a bit too much airbrush, it ruins the tonality especially on the face. other than the form and general drawing is very good, i see you're new here so WELCOME.

Re: Critique The Drawing Above :D

Its a very good drawing! but i dont think the orange background goes with the person and maybe you could of done a tinnyy but more detailing to him but overall its good! big_smile

Re: Critique The Drawing Above :D

Great drawing of Grell! big_smile The style is nice and the lines and colouring look really smooth. If anything is a little off, it's the shading. It seems to be a little everywhere and not like there's a solid light source (but I'm a hypocrite because I do the same thing).

It's a lovely drawing and I can't really say there's any flaws that I can see. ^^

(Please note view my drawing in full-size since it is very big)

I really love the colors and the demonic look that she has in the second drawing. The only thing that sort of confuses me is the placement of her mouth in the first drawing. It is wonderful otherwise! … 28126.html

Re: Critique The Drawing Above :D

Wow! I can't say much other than it's really well done. Uhm, the hair seems to be lacking a bit (like i'm one to talk...) but perhaps more shading and highlighting? And try making the lines more solid. I'm aware that the drawing is to be without lineart but try making the face look more apart from the neck, but still looking natural? If that makes any sense.

Anyways, I just chose a stupid one:

Re: Critique The Drawing Above :D

You did a great job with the coloring and the pose, but then proportion of the eyes, nose and mouth are a bit off. … 32784.html

I can spot what I need to improve on but I just want to see if anyone else notices lol (also, the head is suppose to be slightly bigger then the body, its kind of a fantasy, bobble head style (Like my other "Help me Fly away")

Re: Critique The Drawing Above :D

Everything looks good to me but the foot got a little lost behind the feather(?) and the face looks flat in some places and bits of the body... Maybe shade more? Really though it does look really good.

Shading like a mad man is NOT a crime!
