Re: Nintendo Fanclub!

Ocarina? Awesome.
Douche Dickface? That's a fitting name.

Re: Nintendo Fanclub!

I pre ordered Majora's Mask + New 3DS + Skullkid statue. It's just not the special Majora's Mask 3DS. Just a NEW regular black one.

And now a warning. I'm seriously serious.
Do not get a laptop or pc with a windows operation system before windows 10 is out.

I bought a new laptop. Really good specs considering the price.
I knew windows 8 was on it.

"Ah, windows 8(.1) can't be so bad."
Is like saying:
"Adolf Hitler got to power in Germany. That can't be so bad."

I loathe windows 8. Easy accesible? NOPE

Re: Nintendo Fanclub!

Isn't Windows 10 going to be a free upgrade for anyone with Windows 7 or 8?

You can use it for free for 1 year. Then you have to downgrade or buy it.

85 euro's for a one time only technical support to fix their mistake in their awful windows :')

Re: Nintendo Fanclub!

And the store I bought the laptop at told me (after another 10 minute wait) that they can't help me either.

Re: Nintendo Fanclub!

Apparently there is some talk of Netflix doing a live-action Zelda series.
Netflix and Nintendo are both clammed up about the whole thing though. I kind of assume it's just a rumor, but you never know.

Re: Nintendo Fanclub!

yeah I heard about that too. It definitely isn't outside of possibility. Nintendo has expressed interest in making shows out of their IPs (Mario, Kirby, Zelda in the past. Kid Icarus and Pikmin more recently). The oddest thing about this rumor is the live action. Nintendo likes their animation, but who knows.

and jeez Club Nintendo is dropping SO MUCH stuff on us here in the US. quite a few new physical rewards and a billion games. I need more points to get what I want (the poster set 2 and Doc Louis's Punch Out, maybe Yoshi's Island too)

Re: Nintendo Fanclub!

A word of warning:

Don't underestimate Great Bay Temple and Stone Tower temple.
For the first time of ever owning Majora's Mask (from N64 version to the now 3DS version), I was unable to beat it before the end of the three days.

The diffences between the 3DS version and N64 version:

Of course, the graphics got an overhaul.

The swamp actually looks like a swamp with dead trees lying here and there.

The bosses
The bosses have changed a little. All of them have a weakpoint they conceal. This weakpoint is an eye. This eye resembles the eyes on Majora's Mask.

Odolwa can be beaten as Deku link.
Goht can be beaten as Goron.
You don't have to switch race anymore.

Gyorg bossbattle changed and I died during the final countdown.
Recommendable to do the first part as Hylian Link.
Twinmold bossbattle changed, I just died during the final countdown.

Changes to race:
Deku Link:
There's a target indicator when you blow bubbles now. Bubbles are still almost worthless.

Goron Link:
Instead of holding A to roll, you just have to press it once. To cancel your rolling, you have to press 'A' again.
Also, when pounding, Link changes to a rock version of himself for a slight second.
Goron Link's attack animation has been sped up, so you can land them more easily.

Zora Link:
A different swimanimation. The wave-like movement Link has in the N64 will activate when you activate the shield. While active, Link will swim a bit faster. It's at the cost of MP.

Zora Link's attack animation has been sped up. His third attack is usually a kick forward, that has been changed to a roundhouse kick.

Changes to areas
Clock town as changed slightly. The bank has moved to the backside of clocktower. Across from that is the owl statue.

In west clocktown, the bank has simply been removed and it's just a wall.

The location of the Song of Soaring has been placed at the entrance of the swamp instead of the top of the waterfall.

Two fishing areas have been added as well. One is located in the swamp, another one has been located elsewhere but I kind of forgot where x)

The three day system
You do not save when you reset anymore.
Instead you save at owl statues or save statues.
You still lose all ammunition and rupees when you reset.

Mask locations
The stone mask can be found in Pirate Hideout.
Not sure if Bunny Hood was supposed to be found in Romani Ranche.
Giant's Mask is found at a different location in Stone Tower temple.

Re: Nintendo Fanclub!

Bunny Hood was found in the Romani Ranch to begin with.
The guy who looks like Grog from Ocarina of Time is there and gives it to you after you complete a certain task for him.

Re: Nintendo Fanclub!

hey.... if any of you don't do Club Nintendo, I'll gladly take your codes off your hands (unless codes from other countries/regions don't work)

I sound like a poor beggar.

Re: Nintendo Fanclub!

So Nintendo's joining the mobile business
I'm on board. Not sure if i'll buy their apps, but if they look appealing, I'll definitely give them a try. I'm still a fan of console playing though.

And they announced that they are developing their next console, code-named "NX."
Does the code name mean anything? Possibly, possibly not. Sometimes they do have a loose meaning ("Revolution" was the Wii's code name. It was obviously referring to the "revolutionary" motion sensing). Sometimes, however, things are given code names that don't make much sense (i.e. the Gamecube's code name was "dolphin"). Sometimes they're acronyms (PAM, the code name for the Atari 5200 stood for "Personal Arcade Machina")

NX is just about the shortest code name and could easily be an acronym or something of the like ("Nintendo Xperience" or something like that. Tacky name, but at least it won't confuse customers like practically every other Nintendo console name in the last 4 years).

Re: Nintendo Fanclub!

People keep finding me on Youtube...it must end! mad

Also, I get that they're taking more time to make Zelda Wii U the best it can be, but I don't understand why they won't be showing it at E3. Especially considering they said they had enough of the game done to show at E3 way back when they did that short demo of the gameplay.

Re: Nintendo Fanclub!

Yeah that was a little disappointing. they want to focus on 2015 games and that makes sense, but they are going back on their word.
