Step 1

~YELLOH! This is pretty complicated so get prepared!
First, add a layer, then remove LAYER 1. Then add another layer so you have LAYER 2, and LAYER 3 on top of that. On LAYER 3, draw the lineart, then on LAYER 2 you color it! :) Pay attention to the layers, its VERY important. Use the eraser tool to erase anything that you made a mistake on. If you just make it white, that WON'T work.

Step 2

Go back to LAYER 2 and add all the shading/effects you wan't...An easy way to shade/add effects is to press LOCK ALPHA while you are still on the layer that you are coloring. That way the shading stays on the subject and not on the backround.

Step 3

Go back to LAYER 3 and copy her by pressing edit, and paste. You will have a new layer[LAYER 4]. move it to the empty space on your canvas (Remember, your girl shouldn't be too big or her clothes won't fit on it.) Begin tracing the outfit design on the lineart that you just pasted. Add ANOTHER layer [LAYER 5 will be below LAYER 4] below the one you just did. Like the first step, this part is when you color it.

Step 4

This part is a easy releif for you guys.
Go to LAYER 4, then press 'layers' and 'merge down' so that LAYER 4 and 5 become one (it will be called 5)then get the eraser tool and remove any unwanted lineart.

Step 5

There are so many more things you can add, and I'll give you some examples. But first show you how to actually use this thing. Go to layer 5 double click on the name and you can change it to anything. I named mine burgundy Toga so I know which one it is. (its less confusing if you do names) Now you can go to layer burgundy toga (XD) and use the select tool and drag the outfit on to her.

Step 6

Now for examples, you can do necklaces, scarves, bows, jewelry, socks, shoes, gloves, and SO MUCH MORE! You can even add hair attatchments, highlights. Or you can take the same outfit and change the color for more variety. All you have to do is repeat the steps. They will get easier as you go. In the next step I'll show you how to share them with other users and organizing them. Pretty messy picture right?

Step 7

Before you give it to someone to use, you need to organize it! The easiest categories are clothes, accecories, shoes/socks/gloves, and hair. To give it to someone you need to press 'file' 'save to computer for later' then you can send it people my message, they can dress her up, edit it, and finally submit it to RMD! :D

Step 8

Now for the backrounds. The layers can be in really any order (except the person must be first and all clothes/accecories afterwards. But the backround needs to be the very first layer. So make a new LAYER behind the person. The only other item that would be behind the person besides backrounds would be angel wings and such. But still the backround would need to be before that too. You could even allow people to change the backround by putting the backround layer(s) behind the person and they could delete either backround as they see fit. NOTE: The more layers you add; the laggier it gets.
Well, thats all folks XD. I will be releasing this one soon...But I've been having problems with the save option :'( PLEASE NOTE NOTE: I spent alot of time on this, so if you use it please credit me in the description of the drawing.
